‘Noureen Dhanani’ is a label of designer sarees, featuring a collection of one-of-a-kind eclectic pieces, designed in the U.S. and manufactured in India. USA based designer Noureen Dhanani focuses her attention to creating classic and timeless pieces in limited quantities for an exclusive clientele of sophisticated taste. To better compliment the wardrobe of the contemporary woman, the designer combines modern silhouettes with traditional elements to emphasize not only class but also style in her designs. Her collection is best described as elegant, yet understated; classic, yet contemporary; simple, yet sophisticated. Although the designer has retailed her brand all over the U.S. via expos, private exhibitions, and trunk shows since it was first launched in 2008, she recently showcased her collection on an international platform via her very first fashion week presentation in Toronto in 2013. At her first ever fashion show, her brand was represented by former Miss India and Bollywood actor Neha Dhupia. Another milestone for the designer in 2013 has been the long overdue opening of her very own private studio/ showroom. This private studio is located in an upscale suburb of Houston and is used as the designer’s work studio as well as showroom and office. This studio is specifically designed to provide her clients with a private and personalized shopping experience. The designer is available at her studio, by appointment only, when she is not travelling. Apart from her pret collection of sarees which is readily available for sale at the showroom, she does consultations for bridal and trousseau wear as well as other couture pieces. Noureen Dhanani’s collection usually comprises of very realistic and practical pieces that can by worn by women of any age group and body type. She believes that the saree is the most classy, stylish, and elegant piece of clothing that women can choose to wear, especially women of South-Asian descent. Her pieces are not made only for size zero models but they’re made to make the average and ordinary woman look beautiful. If you see her runway collections, they are also practical and realistic and can be worn by anyone. The designer does not believe in mass production and repeating designs therefore chooses to sell only a limited quantity of her designs. She believes in perfection and selling high-end quality products made using only the finest of raw materials. Her entire sales strategy is based on giving her exclusive clientele an exclusive product. She believes in selling quality, not quantity. Noureen’s one-of-a-kind pieces are available in Texas at her showroom in Sugar Land or by periodic trunk shows and exhibitions held around Texas and the US, Canada, and UAE.

Born & brought up in New Delhi, decided to become a fashion designer at an age of 9. A fashion aficionado who knew fashion was her thing from a very young age. Received formal fashion design education from a few different colleges including Northern Indian Textile Research Association. Also took professional courses in styling for Fashion & Photography from London, UK in collaboration with JD Institute & Costume Designing for Theater, Film & TV from Fashion Institute Of Technology, New York, USA. She is also a graduate in English (Hons), for her love for literature. Swati is a self-taught make-up artist too, who is extremely passionate about beauty, skincare & cosmetics. Swati Mishra has established her own atelier in New Delhi in 2016 & later that year launched her flagship store with two labels under one roof.
